Armed and Dangerous Inmate Escapes Texas Prison

(Scypre.com) – In Houston, Texas, a manhunt is ongoing after an inmate named Nigel Thomas Sanders escaped from custody. Sanders, who is 35 years old, managed to crawl out of a pipe and escape during his court appearance. He was being held for three burglaries and one unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

According to Chief Phillip Bosquez of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Sanders was able to facilitate his escape on his way back from court. The authorities were alerted to his possible escape at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

During his escape, Sanders attacked a woman and got into her car, but she crashed it a short distance away. After the accident, the suspect ran away on foot. This was the last time he was seen, and the University of Houston Downtown issued a lockdown due to the search but later gave the all-clear.

An alert was sent to the university community, urging them to stay indoors, lock outside doors, and avoid windows. The police were responding to the situation.

The authorities are warning people that Sanders should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing orange pants and a black shirt, and the search for him continues.
