(Scypre.com) – Hunter Biden, who is the son of President Biden, got in trouble in California. He was accused of not paying around $200,000 in taxes in 2019. This information was made public in some documents.
A person named David Weiss, who is a Special Counsel, used a big jury in Los Angeles to collect evidence about possible tax crimes by Hunter Biden. In October, Hunter Biden said he was not guilty of federal gun charges in a court in Delaware. These charges were part of a long investigation by Weiss.
Now, just before House Republican leaders are expected to vote on starting an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s connection to his son’s business, Hunter Biden faces this new tax charge.
The leader of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, revealed bank records this week. These records showed that a company owned by Hunter Biden was making regular payments directly to Joe Biden, the President.
Comer thanked two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, for bringing this issue to light. He accused the Department of Justice of trying to give Hunter Biden a special deal. Comer believes that the DOJ is protecting Hunter and the President.
The White House keeps saying that President Biden did nothing wrong and didn’t know about his son’s business. On the other side, House Republicans warned Hunter that they might hold him in contempt of Congress if he doesn’t show up for a closed-door meeting on December 13.
However, Hunter insisted on testifying publicly because he thinks closed-door testimonies are leaked and used to twist the truth and mislead the public.
