3 Year Old Fatally Stabbed Outside Store

(Scypre.com) – A tragic and shocking incident occurred outside an Ohio supermarket, where a woman fatally stabbed a 3-year-old boy in less than five seconds. The boy was sitting in a grocery cart with his mother nearby. Witnesses were unable to intervene due to the rapid nature of the attack, which police believe was random.

The suspect, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis of Cleveland, was arrested shortly after the incident while walking away from the scene with a kitchen knife in her hand. She was indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on multiple charges, including aggravated murder and attempted murder, and is currently held on a $1 million bond.

Dashcam and body camera footage from the police show a bystander directing officers towards Ellis. She was ordered to the ground and handcuffed without any resistance, with the knife lying beside her. According to Sgt. Matt Beck, a detective with the North Olmsted police, Ellis followed the boy and his mother from inside the Giant Eagle grocery store to the parking lot, where she launched her attack.

The young boy, identified as Julian Wood, was stabbed twice and later died at the hospital. His mother, Margot Wood, sustained a stab wound to her shoulder while trying to protect her son and was treated at a hospital. The county prosecutor’s office noted that Ellis had stolen the knife from a thrift store adjacent to the Giant Eagle before the attack.

Ellis has no known previous interactions with the victims and no history of violence. She did not make any statements during her brief court appearance, and efforts to reach her for comment have been unsuccessful. It remains unclear if she has legal representation.
