(Scypre.com) – Burbank’s Mayor, Konstantine Anthony, found himself in an unusual situation during the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats’ Drag Queen Bingo fundraiser held on a Saturday. During the event, a video captured the Mayor bending over a table while a drag queen playfully used a paddle on him.
This video initially surfaced on Instagram, shared by the Wisenuts Podcast, and gained significant attention after being reposted by the popular TikTok account known as Libs of TikTok.
Reports from local media highlighted that the fundraiser was advertised as suitable for ages 15 and older but cautioned that it might not be suitable for children.
Libs of TikTok claimed that this act took place in front of children, but Mayor Anthony refuted this claim, stating that there were no children present at the event. According to him, all attendees were 21 years of age or older, and this was confirmed by event organizers.
In a playful response on the original Instagram video post, Mayor Anthony wrote, “Jealous?”
This incident involving Mayor Anthony occurred amid concerns raised by California parents about a new state rule regarding transgender issues and parental rights. The rule requires judges to consider whether a parent has affirmed their child’s belief that they are transgender during custody battles. Critics like Nicole Pearson, a mother of three and a member of the “Protect Kids California” group, expressed concerns about the potential consequences of this policy.
She warned that it could lead to both parents losing custody if they are conservative and do not affirm their child’s gender identity. In such cases, if no one else is available to take custody, the child could become a ward of the state.
Advocates for parental rights, like Pearson, were disappointed when the California State Assembly passed AB 957, as they feared it could jeopardize parental custody rights when there is a disagreement about a child’s gender identity versus their biological sex.
