Migrant Crisis Evicts Children From School

(Scypre.com) – A Democratic lawmaker from New York State has called on the Biden administration to take immediate action and close the southern border. The demand comes after migrants arrived at her daughter’s school, leading to a shift to remote learning for students.

During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” Assemblywoman Jaime Williams emphasized the urgency of addressing the migrant surge. She expressed concern that the influx of asylum seekers is overwhelming the city and needs to be addressed promptly.

Williams urged for immediate action, stating, “Why wait till tomorrow? Our districts are benefactors of lawlessness. We can’t wait until tomorrow. We have to turn off the main at the faucet, and that is closing our borders. Plain and simple.”

She continued by highlighting the straightforward nature of the solution, saying, “There’s no tools to find. There’s no new words to invent. It’s plain English. Close the borders and let’s deal with the situation instead of putting the American citizens in a predicament where you have other people over them.

It’s unfair to each and every taxpaying American, not only in my district but in this country.”

The recent relocation of almost 2,000 migrants from a tent shelter at Floyd Bennett Field in New York City to James Madison High School due to weather concerns led to bipartisan criticism.

The move resulted in the closure of the school for virtual learning, drawing outcry from lawmakers and parents who accused the city of prioritizing asylum seekers over their own children.

Williams described the incident as “disruptive” and expressed concern about the potential consequences if the influx continues to disrupt classrooms. She stated, “Definitely concerning as a parent, as a representative for the area, very disruptive to our students. It’s not fair to our parents. I was also there this morning, and the community is just outraged because here you have the migrants being placed over our own children and our community. What’s next?”

Other Democrats, including NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, have also criticized the placement of migrants at Floyd Bennett Field, highlighting mismanagement and the wasteful use of funds in the city’s approach to shelter and services for asylum seekers.

Despite criticism, Mayor Eric Adams, who has clashed with the federal government, has pleaded for assistance from the Biden administration as migrants are transported to his city and other sanctuary cities nationwide. He recently emphasized that the city is at a “breaking point” and cannot accommodate more illegal immigrants.

Williams further documented the situation by recording a video of migrants’ vehicles being towed from outside a tent shelter, raising questions about how the migrants obtained the vehicles.
