(Scypre.com) – A Colorado woman caught on camera hurling racially insensitive remarks at a Latino family has claimed that previously unseen footage from the altercation supports her assertion that she was assaulted by a man and multiple women at her Denver apartment complex.
Blair Featherman recounted the incident, stating that a group approached her aggressively, likening it to a swarm of bees, with a man shoving her initially, followed by the women joining the altercation.
In an interview with “Inside Edition,” Featherman mentioned previous incidents where non-residents would trespass into the pool area, causing concerns. On the day of the incident, she confronted the individuals caught on video, suspecting they were not complex residents. When they declined to show their key fob to enter the area, Featherman claimed they attacked her.
Featherman also referenced additional footage from that day, emphasizing a moment when she was pushed and her feet were lifted into the air as she retreated to a poolside lounge chair, underscoring that she was defending herself against multiple women.
She further asserted finding press-on nails from one of the women stuck in her hair after the altercation and emphasized that the original TikTok video began after the brawl.
In the viral TikTok clip, Featherman complains about a gathering at the pool and directs derogatory language towards the group. She lunged at Jade Serie, who was recording the incident, and grabbed her phone.
Serie, a resident at the complex, recounted that she and her boyfriend showed Featherman their fob upon arrival, but Featherman continued with the insults. Despite Featherman apologizing for her behavior in the video, she denied being racist and stated that she regrets her actions.
However, Featherman insisted that the video was deceptively edited by Serie, who denied these allegations and offered her own account of the confrontation.
Serie stated that Featherman initiated the confrontation by using offensive language and mocking the group. She expressed her belief that Featherman should not be allowed to reside in the complex after the incident, especially with children present.
