(Scypre.com) – According to classified Russian documents obtained by investigative reporter George Knapp and journalist Jeremy Corbell, Russian warplanes were involved in at least 45 encounters with UFOs by 1993.
These encounters reportedly involved chasing and even shooting at the unidentified objects. This information was revealed in letters sent by Knapp and Corbell to the House’s Oversight Committee ahead of a UFO hearing.
In his letter to the committee, Knapp highlighted the discrepancy between the military’s dismissive attitude towards UFOs as a non-threat to national security and the revelations found in the classified documents. He noted that since 1969, the military’s official stance has been that UFOs do not warrant further study, but the uncovered reports and memos suggested otherwise.
During the Congressional hearing, three men, including Charles McCullough, a former Intelligence Community Inspector General under President Barack Obama, sat behind David Grusch, a witness who testified about recovered “biologics” of “non-humans” from alleged UFO crash sites. While Grusch’s testimony made headlines, the details from Knapp’s and Corbell’s letters received less attention.
George Knapp has been reporting on UFOs, now referred to as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), since 1987 and had a direct relationship with Senator Harry Reid. On the other hand, Corbell has become a reliable source for UFO whistleblowers and played a crucial role in organizing witnesses for the historic bipartisan hearing.
Knapp’s interest in UFOs was sparked in 1989 when he heard rumors about crashed UFOs, secret reverse engineering programs, and strange materials being studied in the Nevada desert by intelligence operatives and defense contractors. This led to his connection with Senator Reid.
The Russian documents Knapp uncovered suggested a ten-year UFO investigation program that involved thousands of case files and interviews with military personnel. Among the revelations was the disclosure of dogfights between Russian warplanes and UFOs, with some incidents resulting in crashes and fatalities.
One notable encounter, known as the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO incident in 2004, involved David Fravor, a retired Commanding Officer of the Navy’s Black Aces Squadron. Fravor described the UFO as a “giant flying propane tank” with extraordinary capabilities that surpassed anything known or developed by human technology.
The recent Congressional hearing focused on the over-classification of UFO-related records and allegations of a government cover-up spanning decades. David Grusch’s testimony hinted at the government possessing UFO technology and biological samples of non-human origin since the 1930s, but due to a whistleblower reprisal case, he could not divulge more in a public setting.
Corbell stressed in his letter to Congress that the UFO issue is of global importance and that UFOs are objectively real and have been part of human history since ancient times. He expressed concern that UAP can operate with impunity within our airspace and are observed and documented on defense sensors regularly, outperforming advanced military weaponry.
Representative Tim Burchett, who has advocated for UFO transparency, voiced concerns about a government that does not trust its people. After the two-hour testimony, Representative Andy Ogles concluded that there is a clear threat to national security posed by UFOs.
The House’s hearing followed bipartisan legislation in the Senate aimed at declassifying and releasing UFO-related records, bringing together politicians like Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Marco Rubio.
