(Scypre.com) – Singer Sia recently shared her experience with a facelift procedure during the 5th annual Daytime Beauty Awards, where she presented an award to her surgeon, Dr. Ben Talei. Sia, recognized for often concealing her face during performances and public events, praised Dr. Talei for his exceptional work, stating, “I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about it.”
She expressed her admiration for Dr. Talei and the transformative impact of the procedure, emphasizing his prowess: “He is incredible, and he is doing so much good work—and not just for the pop stars of the world.”
Furthermore, Sia referred to Dr. Talei as a “good friend” and recounted her positive interactions with him. Dr. Talei reciprocated the admiration, praising Sia for her genuine and remarkable personality. Sia has been candid about her struggles with body image, revealing how she had strived to fit into societal expectations of a “hot pop star” through intensive dieting over the years.
In addition to her challenges with body image, Sia battles chronic pain, hyperthyroid disease, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a neurological disorder that manifests in hypermobility and skin hyperextensibility.
She has shared her journey with these health issues, offering support and encouragement to others enduring pain, both physical and emotional. Sia has also been open about her sobriety, candidly discussing her past struggles with addiction to Vicodin, Oxycodone, and alcohol, and her journey to recovery as an artist.
