Trump And Harris Agree To Debate On September 10th

(Scypre.com) – Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are scheduled to debate on ABC on September 10, following an announcement by Trump that he had agreed to this debate and two others in the upcoming month.

“ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates to debate on September 10 on ABC. Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed they will attend the ABC debate,” the network announced.

During a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump expressed his eagerness to debate the vice president, confirming that he had also agreed to debates with Fox News, ABC, and NBC in the coming weeks.

“I think it’s very important to have debates, and we’ve agreed with Fox on a date of September 4. We’ve agreed with NBC. Fairly full agreement subject to them on September 10. And we’ve agreed with ABC on September 25,” Trump stated.

A senior Trump adviser and an ABC source familiar with the situation clarified that the confirmed debate dates are September 4 with Fox News, September 10 with ABC, and September 25 with NBC.

Trump mentioned that some “minor details” still need to be finalized, including audience arrangements and debate locations.

“The other side has to agree to the terms. They may or may not agree. I don’t know if they’re going to agree. (Harris) hasn’t done an interview. She can’t do an interview. She’s barely competent, and she can’t do an interview. I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight,” Trump commented.

CNN reached out to the Harris campaign for a response but has not yet received a comment.

Harris had previously committed to the ABC debate on September 10, a date originally agreed upon by Trump and former President Joe Biden before Biden exited the race. Earlier in the week, Trump had stated that he would not debate Harris unless she agreed to participate in the Fox News debate on September 4.

An ABC source expressed confidence that their debate would be the first encounter between Trump and Harris, noting that the Harris campaign has signaled a refusal to join the Fox News debate.

A source involved in the NBC negotiations mentioned that September 25 was “one of the dates” offered to the campaigns. However, while discussions have been ongoing with both sides, the Harris campaign has not yet officially accepted the invitation.

Further details, such as the debate location, rules, and moderators, will be finalized as the date approaches.
