(Scypre.com) – Former President Donald Trump expressed admiration for Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and suggested that Scott could be a valuable addition to his administration if he were to be reelected in 2024.
Trump made these remarks while appearing on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo.
During the interview, Trump spoke highly of several candidates in the Republican primary field, describing them as talented individuals and indicating that he was already considering potential running mates.
Bartiromo inquired, “Is there anyone on that stage you see as a potential running mate, as your Vice President?”
Trump replied, “Possibly. I believe there are some capable individuals on the stage. In fact, I’ve been impressed by many of them. Some of them are even close acquaintances of mine. They reached out to me, not necessarily seeking permission but more for my blessing, expressing their desire to pursue such a role. There are a few people up there, and I won’t disclose their names to avoid embarrassment, but I do believe they possess the potential to be outstanding members of the Cabinet.”
Bartiromo persisted, “Do you envision a partnership with Senator Tim Scott, perhaps?”
“I hold him in high regard,” Trump remarked. “We collaborated on opportunity zones, a remarkable yet often overlooked economic development initiative in this country. Tim is highly capable. Although he is currently focused on his campaign, I can envision him making valuable contributions to the administration. However, there are other exceptionally gifted individuals as well.”
