Woman Steals $2500 Worth Of Stanley Cups

(Scypre.com) – The enthusiasm for Stanley stainless steel drinking cups reached unprecedented heights last week when an individual was apprehended for allegedly pilfering 65 of them, valued at nearly $2,500, from a store in California.

According to the Roseville Police in Placer County, situated northeast of Sacramento, the incident occurred on January 17 at a store on Stanford Ranch Road in the city.

Authorities were alerted to the theft, and as per their statement on Facebook, “Staff saw a woman take a shopping cart full of Stanley water bottles without paying for them. The suspect refused to stop for staff and stuffed her car with the stolen merchandise.”

The statement further noted, “An officer spotted the suspect vehicle as it entered Highway 65 from Galleria Blvd and initiated a traffic stop.”

The 23-year-old woman from Sacramento, who remains unnamed so far, was arrested for grand theft. Images released by the police depict her car trunk and passenger seat filled with a variety of Stanley cups.

Stanley cups have gained significant popularity in recent months, driven by a trend fueled by social media influencers. Notably, the “Quencher” cup, boasting a capacity of 40 fluid ounces and retailing at $45 on the Stanley website, has emerged as a particularly fashionable item.

“While Stanley Quenchers are all the rage, we strongly advise against turning to crime to fulfill your hydration habits,” cautioned the police.
