(Scypre.com) – According to reports, a passenger on a plane in South Korea apparently opened the emergency door of the aircraft while it was in flight. This action caused a rush of air to enter the cabin, startling both passengers and crew members.
Despite efforts by other passengers to intervene, they were unable to completely prevent the suspect from partially opening the emergency exit door.
Consequently, the Asiana Airlines Airbus A321 aircraft was engulfed in a whirlwind, disorienting those on board.
Upon landing, law enforcement promptly apprehended the suspect, charging them with violating aviation security laws.
The incident took place while the plane was descending at an altitude of 700 feet on its way to Daegu Airport, situated in the southeastern region of the Korean peninsula.
As a result of the gusts of wind generated by the opened door, twelve passengers suffered enough discomfort to require hospitalization.
Some of the affected individuals experienced difficulties with breathing and ear pain due to the rapid decompression of the airplane cabin.
At present, the identity of the passenger who initiated the incident and was subsequently arrested remains unknown.
