Jenna Sims Becomes Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie

(Scypre.com) – Jena Sims has achieved the milestone of becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie, as officially announced by the publication. She will be featured alongside other models, including Penny Lane, Brittney Nicole, Nina Cash, Sharina Gutierrez, Berkleigh Wright, and Achieng Agutu, in the 2024 issue. This marks the first time the magazine is showcasing all the Swim Search finalists who participated in their annual Swim Week runway show.

Expressing her excitement, the 34-year-old actress and model, who is married to professional golfer Brooks Koepka, shared her journey and emotions surrounding this achievement. Sims revealed that she filmed her audition video almost a year ago and was overwhelmed with instant tears upon learning the news. Despite crying in public during a Zoom call in Miami, where she was waiting to get her hair done, Sims was elated by the recognition.

While keeping the news under wraps until the official announcement, Sims couldn’t resist sharing it with her husband and even informed their dog and 2-month-old son, Crew.

Reflecting on the significance of being a rookie for a renowned brand like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Sims sees it as an opportunity to elevate her career to new heights. She plans to leverage this platform to continue her nonprofit events with the Pageant of Hope and maintain her involvement in charitable partnerships.

Sims, a former Miss Teen USA, walked the SI Swim Week runway show when she was eight months pregnant with her first child with Koepka. Describing her relationship with her husband, Sims highlighted their mutual support for each other’s aspirations.

She emphasized the excitement of their unconventional lifestyle, which allows them to travel together and be present for one another, whether during golf tournaments or her own engagements.

When not on the road, the couple enjoys quality time at home, indulging in shared interests like watching reality TV shows. Sims emphasized their preference for casual and chill experiences, citing U-Tiki, a local restaurant with plastic chairs, sushi, and drinks, as their favorite spot. Despite the unconventional nature of their lives, Sims appreciates the closeness and support they share as a couple.
