However, on Thursday, Lil Tay reportedly spoke to TMZ, stating unequivocally, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive.” She went on to explain that her “Instagram account was compromised.”
In response to these developments, her former manager, Harry Tsang, shared exclusively with Fox News Digital that he is relieved to know she is safe. Nevertheless, Tsang expressed skepticism about the hacking incident, suggesting there could be an alternative motive at play. He cited the unusual 24-hour timeframe for restoring a compromised account and hinted at possible motivations involving financial gains from supporters.
Tsang also questioned Lil Tay’s brother’s actions, known for their extremity, hinting that these occurrences might be driven by motives beyond what’s apparent. He also cautioned about the potential irresponsibility of such actions, which could impact public perceptions.
They also contacted the Vancouver Police Department where Lil Tay’s family resides and is from. Authorities in both Vancouver and Los Angeles confirmed no deaths were reported, and there were no ongoing investigations.
Lil Tay’s father declined to comment, and her father’s professional profile underwent changes in response to the news. The initial statement announcing Lil Tay’s death, using her real name Claire Hope, was emotionally charged, expressing profound grief and a plea for privacy.
