Uber Driver Pulls Out Gun

(Scypre.com) – According to police reports, a rideshare driver in Chicago used his concealed carry license to defend himself after being confronted by two individuals who had stolen his cellphone and fired at him while he was working overnight on Friday.

The incident took place on the city’s West Side around 1 a.m. The driver, aged 26, had just dropped off a passenger when the alleged robbery unfolded in the 1500 block of Millard.

One of the suspects, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the right leg, while an 18-year-old woman suffered a graze wound on her right arm.

Both suspects’ conditions were addressed by the Chicago Police Department, stating that the man was in good condition after being taken to a hospital, while the woman declined medical treatment.

Fortunately, the driver remained unharmed during the incident. At present, there is no information available regarding the potential charges that might be levied against the suspects.

It is worth noting that the victim, the rideshare driver, has not faced any charges in relation to the incident.
