(Scypre.com) – Authorities in Florida have reported the discovery of a deceased man at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, situated adjacent to the popular Magic Kingdom theme park. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Jeffery Vanden Boom from Greendale, Wisconsin.
The Orange County Medical Examiner determined that his death resulted from blunt force trauma, ruling it an accidental fall from a hotel room balcony.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident on July 26, 2023, at 5:33 a.m. after receiving a call about an unresponsive man found on the hotel grounds. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Requests for comments from Disney by Fox News Digital were unanswered.
According to social media reports from individuals claiming to be staying at the Florida property during the incident, the fifth-floor sky bridge connecting the Bay Lake Tower to the main building at the Contemporary Resort was closed off while the police conducted their investigation.
Last year, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported the death of an 83-year-old Florida veteran at Walt Disney World. Joseph A. Masters and his wife Alice were riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in the Magic Kingdom when he fainted.
Despite immediate response and CPR initiation by Disney staff and security, he couldn’t be saved due to pre-existing medical conditions, including a pacemaker, diabetes, and hypertension.
Alice, his wife, expressed that her husband died in his happy place, as he loved Disney. Further medical evaluation revealed a significant blockage of an artery near his heart, which contributed to the unfortunate outcome.
