Military Jet F-35 Missing

(Scypre.com) – U.S. military officials are currently engaged in a search mission for a missing F-35 fighter jet following an unexpected incident that led to the pilot ejecting on Sunday afternoon.

A statement posted on Facebook by Joint Base Charleston revealed that the aircraft in question was a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. Fortunately, the pilot executed a safe ejection and was subsequently transported to a nearby medical facility.

Collaborating closely with Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, the base is actively involved in the search effort to locate the absent aircraft. Emergency response teams have been mobilized to aid in the search for the jet.

According to Joint Base Charleston’s statement on Facebook, they are focusing their search efforts north of JB Charleston, particularly around Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion, using the jet’s last-known position as a reference point and in consultation with the FAA. The base requested the public’s cooperation with both military and civilian authorities as they continue their search efforts.
