New $2 Billion Amusement Park Underway

(Scypre.com) – A groundbreaking project is underway in northeast Oklahoma, with plans for an impressive $2 billion theme park and resort. This new venture, known as the American Heartland Theme Park and Resort, is expected to rival the size and grandeur of Walt Disney’s iconic Magic Kingdom Theme Park.

Located just west of Grand Lake on Route 66, the 1,000-acre development will encompass a 125-acre theme park offering a one-of-a-kind experience, rivaling some of the world’s top resort destinations.

Larry Wilhite, the CEO of American Heartland, expressed excitement about making Oklahoma the home of this ambitious project. He commended Oklahoma for being an attractive location due to its business-friendly environment and innovative partnership efforts that facilitated the creation of this family entertainment destination.

The American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will be family-oriented, presenting six distinct American lands that take visitors on a journey through the country’s rich history.

These sections, named Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village, and Electropolis, promise to offer captivating rides, live shows, family-friendly attractions, waterways, and top-quality food and beverages.

The vision for the park is to provide families with unforgettable generational experiences, fostering joy, laughter, imagination, and wonder for all visitors, regardless of their background.

The initial phase of the project, set to launch in Spring 2025, will introduce the expansive 320-acre Three Ponies RV Park and Campground. Expected to be the largest campground in the central U.S., it will boast 750 RV spaces, 300 cabins, and various amenities.

The theme park and resort itself are scheduled to open in 2026 and will also include a 300-room hotel equipped with a modern indoor water park.

Oklahoma State Senator Micheal Bergstrom expressed his enthusiasm for the project, recognizing its potential to bring significant economic benefits to the region. The investment is expected to create over 4,000 jobs and introduce a new level of entertainment to the area.

American Heartland, the driving force behind this resort, is an affiliate of Mansion Entertainment Group, LLC, a renowned brand known for its performing arts, animation, and studio expertise in Branson. The project’s team includes more than 20 former Disney Parks builders and Walt Disney Imagineers, ensuring that the development will meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

The American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is poised to become a major tourist attraction along Route 66, drawing over two million visitors from outside the state each year. Kristy Adams, senior executive vice president of sales and marketing for Mansion Entertainment Group, American Heartland, and Three Ponies, believes that the scale and quality of this project will set Vinita, Oklahoma apart as an unmissable destination for families worldwide.
