(Scypre.com) – Lucas Giolito, the talented pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and All-Star player, took to social media on Monday to share the news that he and his wife, Ariana Dubelko, have mutually decided to end their marriage after being together for over four years.
During the Home Run Derby on Monday, Giolito posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing the difficult but amicable decision they have made. He stated, “Ariana and I have come to the mutual agreement to respectfully bring an end to our marriage. We have created countless cherished moments and shared experiences, and it is important to emphasize our enduring friendship and deep respect for one another.”
After careful thought and extensive discussions, they have chosen separate paths while preserving the bond they have cultivated over the years. While acknowledging the significance of their decision to end their marriage, they are both committed to maintaining their friendship and providing support as they embark on this new chapter of their lives.
Giolito and Dubelko tied the knot in 2018 and celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary last December. TMZ Sports reported that Dubelko filed for divorce in a California court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” A representative for Giolito stated that the decision to separate was mutual, as joint filing is not permitted in the state.
“We emphasize the shared values of respect, understanding, and kindness that have guided us throughout this decision-making process. We hold each other in high regard and approach our separation with utmost dignity and care,” expressed Giolito. “While we may no longer be spouses, we eagerly anticipate remaining close friends and supporting each other’s personal and professional endeavors.”
Giolito, who joined the Chicago White Sox in 2017, recently signed a one-year, $10.4 million contract in January. He has been performing well with a 3.45 ERA heading into the All-Star break.
