(Scypre.com) – A 23-year-old fan of Taylor Swift sadly passed away before one of her concerts in Brazil. Other fans are now talking about the tough experiences they had during the show. One fan, Elizabeth Morin, described how it was super hot inside the stadium, feeling like a sauna.
She said, “My hair got so wet from sweat as soon as I came in,” and at one point, she had to check her breathing to make sure she wouldn’t faint. Morin saw a lot of people looking distressed and yelling for water. While she managed to get water where she was standing, it was harder for others in different parts of the stadium.
During the concert, Taylor Swift stopped performing and asked for water to be given to a group of fans who caught her attention. Fans said they weren’t allowed to bring water bottles into the stadium, even though it was extremely hot in Rio, with temperatures breaking records.
A fan named Ana Clara Benevides Machado died before the concert due to the intense heat. She fainted at the stadium and later passed away. The cause of her death is still unknown. Swift expressed her sadness on Instagram, saying she was devastated by the loss of a beautiful and young fan.
In response to the tragic events, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, mourned the fan’s loss and announced new measures for Swift’s remaining concerts.
He said the loss was unacceptable and ordered actions to improve safety, including new water distribution points, more help, and starting the concert an hour earlier. Swift has two more shows scheduled in Rio.
