(Scypre.com) – A group called Hamas let go of some hostages, starting a four-day swap that stopped the fighting in Gaza.
On Friday, 24 hostages left Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, shared by the Times of Israel from Israeli officials.

Israel and Hamas made a deal to stop fighting for four days. During this time, the terrorist group will free 50 women and children taken in an attack on Israel in October. In return, Israel will release 150 Palestinians they have in prison. This will happen over four days, starting on Friday, according to the Israeli Prime Minister’s office.
Israeli leaders promised to restart the war after the four days.
“Israel will keep fighting Hamas until we achieve our two main goals: getting rid of Hamas and bringing back all the abducted people safe and sound,” said Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on Friday. He was visiting damaged areas with leaders from Portugal and Slovenia.
Officials think the cease-fire might last longer for each group of 10 hostages freed.
Hamas took around 240 people in the October 7 attack on Israel and is keeping them in Gaza.
So far, more than 1,200 Israelis were reported killed by Hamas. The Hamas-run Palestinian Ministry of Health says nearly 13,000 civilians were killed from Israeli military action in Gaza.
